‘Joining Jaguar Land Rover has allowed me to fulfil my aspirations of becoming a professional Designer within a global Automotive company. My first job after graduating was for the DS TECHEETAH Formula E team (Formula E remains the world’s only net zero carbon sport) and this role reaffirmed my desire to build a career in the ever-changing world of transport and mobility. I already had a passion for our two great brands before joining the business, so it really was a dream come true.
I am currently working on MyJLR (MyJaguar and MyLand Rover) – the central mobile app that aims to support the customer end-to-end across their entire vehicle ownership journey. It will guide vehicle owners from the moment they purchase their vehicle, allowing them to learn more about their car and the brand, track their vehicle through the build process, through to on-boarding, daily tasks, and managing their vehicles. Having had a lifelong passion for cars and being surrounded by them my whole life – MyJLR is a project that I could have only dreamed of working on and it addresses the needs of future mobility head on.
My day-to-day work on MyJLR specifically addresses the needs of our end customer’s experience in the future. Breathtakingly beautiful vehicles that are fantastic to drive aren’t enough anymore – the Digital experience in and around our vehicles plays an equally important part too.
As a User Experience Designer, it comes as no surprise that it’s important that the work that myself and my team create – meets and exceeds the needs, wants and desires of our end users and customers. People drive our vehicles not because they must, but because they want to, so it’s important to me that our customers are more than satisfied with the product (which will be evolving long after it has rolled off the production line). I am confident we are on the right path to deliver on our customer’s desires and are primed for an electrified and sustainable future. ‘
